PRACTICAL NURSING

WHAT TO EXPECT

Practical Nursing (PN) Program is directed towards those who have the interest and capability to become practical nurses. 


The graduates of the practical nurse program develops the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to become licensed and to provide care to clients in hospitals, nursing homes, medical centers, clinics, doctors’ offices, facilities for the mentally and physically challenged, and in home care.


The practical nurse functions under the supervision of the registered nurse, advanced registered practice nurse, and/or physician or dentist. Practical nursing education prepares graduates to continue with upward career mobility after graduation.


This diploma is earned after completing the program course requirements of 1374 hours. This program is generally completed within 52 weeks.
